Have you heard?

The SSU’s famous breakfast and BBQ services are back in action this semester! We have missed you over the past year and are thrilled to see you all back on campus again.

There’s no better way to start your day then to head on up to the Hammer & Swine, where, every academic day from 8AM to 10AM, the SSU proudly presents their regular breakfast service.

You’ll find the Hammer & Swine located in the UN Building on level 3 (above the bookshop), where a variety of snack items and munchies are on offer.

Come grab a slice of toast and relax before the start of your classes or spend some time with our volunteers, who are always keen to lend a helping hand.

This service is free for all!

And of course, what would the SSU’s services be without the iconic weekly BBQ? This service is also resuming, running from 11:30 AM to 2:00 PM every Wednesday throughout the semester.

Don’t worry about bringing a packed lunch to Uni! We cater for all, offering both Halal beef and vegetarian snags. They’re free with your SSU membership. Not a member? No worries, you can still snag a sausage for only $2.

We look forward to seeing you all!

Volunteering at Swinburne:

The SSU’s volunteering program is one of the best ways currently available for students to get more actively involved in the broader Swinburne community.

Whether volunteering at the daily breakfasts or the weekly BBQs, you can feel valued by giving back to other students and helping build an all new on-campus culture in a post-COVID world.

Volunteering is a fun way to make lifelong friendships and to add to that life portfolio, making memories that will always be cherished.

At the same time, you are also being presented with an opportunity to build up your resume by picking up new skills that can help when looking for a job.

If you’re interested in getting involved, let us know.
